 OUR MISSION STATEMENT

​

Arkansas Chihuahua Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization whose goal is to rescue abandoned, abused, unwanted, lost, neglected, injured or shelter Chihuahuas, Chihuahua mixes and other dogs or cats who are at risk for euthanization by rehabilitating and providing medical care, spay/neutering and placing these pets in loving, caring, forever homes when possible and providing hospice care for critically ill and senior pets when necessary by caring for and utilizing a network of foster families dedicated to end of life care. We provide medical expenses for in-home, short-term hospice care for senior dogs who are unable to be medically rehabilitated but who can live their final days in a place of love, security and peace.

We also work to educate the public about the importance of spay and neuter and the benefits of adopting senior pets.

Chihuahuas are the 2nd most euthanized dog breed.  Many times, Chihuahuas in shelters end up being euthanized because they are frightened and snap or bite. We specialize in rehabilitating the Chihuahuas, whether abused, neglected or just frightened in a shelter environment.  

 

Arkansas Chihuahua Rescue needs volunteers and fosters!! We can use help with adoption coordination, social networking site updates, and supplies. We are always in need of puppy pads, food, old towels and blankets. If you can help, please email us!
